- EPDM over DensDeck Prime over Isocyanurate insulation on the steel deck.
- Fiberboard-wet. Ballasted EPDM over soaking wet fiberboard.
- Fiberboard. Under the asphalt/gravel is dry fiberboard. Note the difference between wet and dry.
- Fiberboard-wet 2. Dragging the insulation across the EPDM leaves a trail of water.
- Bald asphalt over fiberglass insulation.
- Foam Glass. When wet smells like rotten egs.
- ISO-Fiberglass. Rock ballast EPDM (loose laid), Isocyanurate (loose laid), asphalt/gravel, fiberglass, set in hot asphalt on concrete deck.
- EPDM over isocyanurate insulation over asphalt roof on a gypsum deck.
- Reinforced EPDM with 2″ of isocyanurate insulation.
- Expanded Polystyrene or EPS (white) over perlite (gray/brown) insulation. EPS should not be next to a stell deck as it can spread fire.
- EPDM over Phenolic Foam insulation on a steel deck. The rust-colored Phenolic causes steel deck to rust when wet – big lawsuits generated.
